The pandemic gave me the chance to step back and ask what I actually wanted from life. This is what I chose.
For years it was 'I'll get fit… I'll learn… eventually.' Now I do the things I say I will, and I'm slowly becoming the person I always could have been.

Home is Lymm, Cheshire — me, Lucy, and our two young children. A village with a canal through it, wildlife on the doorstep, and no shortage of places to run. I don't take any of it for granted.

However much I enjoy the work and the self-improvement, it all points the same way: a calm life with my family, and leaving things a bit better than I found them.
