Running is the habit. Races keep it honest.
I'm out at 5AM most mornings, before the house wakes up. It keeps my body strong and my head quiet.

The fitness is the visible part. The bigger win is what it does for the rest of the day — patience, focus, and a bit more calm than I'd otherwise have.

It's all working toward a marathon. After that, I want to run my way around the world — races in new cities, which might be the best way to properly see one.
